The Workshop
Cyclespeed has always been first and foremost a dedicated bicycle workshop. Our workshop is set up to service all makes of road and tri bikes. We stock a complete range of genuine spare parts for Shimano, SRAM and Campag drivetrains. We have a comprehensive range of tooling to ensure that we can keep your bike running the way the manufacturer intended.
Service Options:
All our services (apart from Quick Tune) start with your bike being washed back to "As New". Once your bike is clean then we have a number of service options to choose from:
Quick Tune - $55 Ideal just before a race or big ride, we tune the brakes and gears, make sure all bearings and controls are working correctly and give your bike a coat of our secret shine.
Full Service - $110 Bike cleaned, drivetrain washed, gears/brakes tuned, BB, headset and wheel bearings checked and serviced if required, all bolts checked/tighened, all cables checked and bike test ridden.
Strip & Re-build - $240 The standard service and wash are included but first we strip the bike down to a frame, cut and face the bottom bracket, tapp threads, and then rebuild the bike to be 'race ready'. This is a great option for new bikes or recent second hand purchases if you want to make sure your bike will operate to her potential.
Build - $240 You bring us the frame, wheel set and components. We prep the frame and build your bike. We can also supply any parts you are missing.
Glue Tubbies - $40 (pair),$20 (single). We glue your tubbies for road or triathlon.
Tyre Sealant in Tubbies - $30 (pair),$15 (single). We use a Tire sealant which repairs and seals holes in tubbies fast and reliably.
Bar Tape - $35. Covers the cost of the tape and the fitting. We have a variety of over 30 different bartapes. You choose the tape and we will fit it for you.
True Wheel - $30. We will true your wheels. This makes sure that they are running smoothly. Spokes are generally $10 each if required.
Bike packing - $55. Do you have a big race or event coming up and you're not 100% how to pack your bike safely? Bring your bike and your travel box to us and we will pack your bike for you. We will also teach you how to take apart your steed, pack him/her and then re-assemble at the other end.
Ceramic Upgrades
At Cyclespeed we take pride in performing ceramic upgrades to drivetrains and wheels sets. All our ceramic upgrades are performed with hand pressed bearings and we have dedicated tooling for all our bearing work. A good result with ceramics requires high quality bearings but its also the quality of the installation. A great result requires preparation of the frame and the use of specific tooling. You are welcome in the workshop to watch while we install your bearings.
Ceramic Bottom bracket - $220 installed.
Ceramic Jockey wheels - $70 installed.
Ceramic Wheel bearings - $350 per wheel set.
